Below are some general requirements for archiving identified by the community (derived from Requirement Outcomes From Planning Workgroups)

• Long term content management formats
• Archive content indefinitely
• Archive content in a format that is open/transferable to a new system
• Ability to choose a media capture format to use
• Archive source media
