Towards shared metadata for academic A/V

This project deals with metadata mainly in two forms:

a) discussion of a metadata scheme "Opencast Core" to become part of the Matterhorn standard installation; for the current implementation please refer to the Matterhorn wiki

b) discussion of a subset of this scheme to be used in syndication (feed).

Both discussions will take place in a wiki within the the UK-based Steeple project, in online meetings and on the metadata mailing list; if you're interested in joining the working group, please contact us at metadata@opencastproject.org. The following pages should give you an idea of what the discussion is all about, though some of the content is probably not up to date anymore (cf. wiki for up-to-date information)
