Opencast Matterhorn - Community Questionnaire

Attention climbers! Join the Matterhorn trail

If you are interested in contributing to the Opencast Community, evaluating an early Matterhorn release, considering adopting Matterhorn 1.0 or participating in the further development of  Matterhorn, please consider completing this little questionnaire to register your organization in the directory of organizations, or update your organization's existing profile. The profile information will help us in planning our efforts around Matterhorn adoption and support. Your enthusiasm and input will help motivate us to work even harder, so understanding your needs and intentions is important!  Last but not least, you become part of a vibrant community around Opencast Matterhorn and all issues relevant in the context of academic video.

The Opencast Community is for you to share your thoughts, experience, concerns around the use of video in academia. You can contribute by highlighting your best practise in the resource section, comment upon existing showcases or contributing to the affiliated projects. And of course, there's Opencast Matterhorn.

Further develop Matterhorn

The first opportunity to get involved as a tester/reviewer is Matterhorn 0.5, currently available from www.opencastproject.org/download. We appreciate any kind of feedback, general comments, bug reports or community requests to further develop Matterhorn. If you consider Matterhorn worthy of your contribution, why not join us? We welcome any level of comittment, from reviewing documentation to active participation.

If for some reason you cannot join us right away for 0.5, we still strongly encourage you to participate in other early releases (pre 1.0).  The 0.5 Release will be one of many pre-releases showcasing the progression and refinement of Matterhorn as it reaches closer to a 1.0 release.  Each of these releases will give you further insight into the "final" release.
